Job Description

ResponsibilitiesPeraton and its Operational Planning, Implementation, and Assessment Services (OPIAS) Team is seeking an experienced Information Operations (IO) Planner to conduct direct liaison, integration, and synchronization with Combatant Command (COCOM) staff, subordinate units, and associated joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multi-national (JIIM) partners. IO Planner is expected to provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment of information operations (IO); creative use of information systems and information-related capabilities (IRC); integration with inter-agency and intelligence community (IC); knowledge of and ability to develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Cyber and Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS); and significant or key cultural considerations that affect operational and tactical planning, security, accreditation, risk assessment(s). The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational-level IO-related directives in support of maneuver elements and must have a strong understanding of the CCMD AOR. IO subject matter experts (SME) will provide counsel, guidance, and aid in applying technical skills to operational and tactical planning/execution, identifying and tracking measures of performance (MOP) thru attainment of measures of effectiveness (MOE). IO subject matter expert (SME) that must be able to work independently by providing a timely flow of relevant information operations planning by providing daily reports, collecting, sharing, disseminating, and completing all assigned tasks.This Position is a deployed unaccompanied one-year assignment to Camp Arifjan, KuwaitQualificationsBasic Qualifications:* Must possess a Bachelor?s Degree and 8 ? 10 years of IO planning experience or a combined total of a minimum of 12 years between education and relevant service. Additional experience may be considered education requirements. * Army Information Operations Functional Area (FA30),and/orPsychological Operations (MOS 37), or service equivalent career field is preferred. * Broad Experience and knowledge of information operations (IO), military deception (MILDEC), operations security (OPSEC), electronic warfare (EW), and cyberspace operations missions, tasks, and overall warfighting functions that support operations, understand how to integrate these capabilities, and be capable of synchronizing activities of mutual concern * Comprehension of joint planning functions of strategic guidance, concept development, plan development, and plan assessment. * Army/Joint Targeting, IPB, and COG analysis process as well as a general understanding of Joint training doctrine and procedures. * Knowledge in JOPP, MDMP, and MCPP planning and targeting processes and expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level IO plans and orders. * Understanding of IRC permissions and authorities. * SOF planning processes; Army/Joint Targeting, IPB, Intelligence cycle, and COG analysis. * Have a minimum of 5 years of experience with IO planning at the service or joint level, working that support operations with Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces. * Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations developing support for related capabilities and their activities. * Be familiar with, certified in, or have applicable operational/field time experience in: + Military Information Support Operations (MISO) / (formerly Psychological Operations (PSYOP)). + Military Deception (MILDEC) + Operations Security (OPSEC) + Tactical Electronic Warfare (EW) + Cyberspace Operations + SIGINT related activities * Ability to engage senior JIIM leaders and staff, and conduct operational and informational briefings to a large audience. * Ability to work effectively within a task-organized working group and expertise within planning, integrating, and coordinating with inter-agency and intelligence community entities. Coordinating with inter-agency and intelligence community and working effectively within a task-organized ?working group?. * Prepared to lead and/or support working groups and operational planning teams. * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport. * Clearance: This position requires an Active DOD Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI).Preferred Qualifications:* Master of Military Art and Science, Strategic Communications, International Affairs, or similar related fields. * Recent Joint or Service Level Information Operations planning experience. * CJ-39 Director, Deputy Director, IO Planner, or IRC Planner.Desired Knowledge/Skills Requirements:* Army Information Operations Planner Course (AIOPC). * Military Information Support Operations Integration Course (MISOIC). * Electronic Warfare Integration Course (EWIC). * Cyberspace Operations Integration Course (COIC). * Information Operations Capabilities, Application, and Planning Course . * Armed Forces Staff College (AFSC) ?
