Job Description

As such, we are looking for a Infection Control Officer to join the our Quality Team.As an Infection Control Officer within the Quality Division your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Conducts Infection Control (IC) surveillance activities through data collection daily by IC rounds including coverage during different shifts
  • Implements staff safety practices through coordinating: post exposure procedures and activities relating to the immunization program
  • Assesses the immunization status of residents and partners, administers vaccines, and educates residents and partners about immunizations
  • Perform daily rounds, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rounds to cover all departments? at least quarterly.
  • Conduct on-site monitoring of hand hygiene compliance, IC liaison compliance and construction projects in patient care areas.
  • Monitor staff IC practices compliance to: Isolation practices, Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) and equipment reprocessing, Bio-hazardous waste, Infection Control Policy and Procedures, Environmental cleaning and disinfection, and report on any discrepancies identified.
