We are seeking an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Engineer/Manager for a 1-month contract from 27th March 2025 until 26th April 2025. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel on-site. This role is based in Kuwait and requires a professional with at least 6 years of experience in consultancy or construction sector. If you are a proactive and experienced health and safety expert looking for a short-term contract with a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HS (Health and Safety) policies and procedures tailored to the project, ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.- Conduct thorough site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions to mitigate risks.- Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and provide on-site safety training to all personnel.- Perform detailed risk assessments for all construction, installation, and operational activities.- Oversee the preparation and submission of all necessary safety documentation, including safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments.- Investigate accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and ensuring corrective actions are in place to prevent recurrence.- Monitor the effectiveness of safety protocols and ensure continuous improvement in safety practices.- Coordinate with local authorities, contractors, and clients to maintain a smooth safety compliance process.- Produce daily and weekly safety reports for management and clients, highlighting key safety metrics and concerns.Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor?s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in health & safety management within Kuwaits contracting or consultancy sector.- Valid certifications in Health and Safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).- Strong knowledge of Kuwaiti health and safety regulations and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001).- Proven experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.- Ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed within the contract period.- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
