Job Description

The Head of Treasury is a pivotal role within the investment, securities, and funds sector, responsible for overseeing the organizations treasury functions. This position involves managing liquidity, funding, and financial risk, ensuring that the company maintains optimal cash flow and financial stability. The Head of Treasury will develop and implement strategies to maximize the companys financial resources while minimizing risks associated with currency fluctuations and interest rates. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets and instruments, as well as strong leadership skills to guide the treasury team effectively.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures to optimize cash management and funding strategies.
  2. Monitor and manage the companys liquidity position, ensuring adequate cash flow to meet operational needs.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks, including interest rate and foreign exchange risks.
  4. Oversee the investment of surplus funds, ensuring compliance with investment policies and maximizing returns.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to forecast cash flow requirements and identify funding needs.
  6. Lead and mentor the treasury team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  7. Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance.
  8. Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to negotiate favorable terms for financing and investment.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to treasury operations.
  10. Stay updated on market trends and economic developments to inform treasury strategies and decisions.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Proven experience in treasury management within the investment or financial services sector.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
