Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for driving sales performance across multiple channels, including coops and private key accounts, the Head of Sales in the FMCG food department and oversees multiple sales teams. This role ensures that sales targets are met, resources are allocated efficiently, and relationships with key stakeholders are maintained, contributing to the companys overall business growth.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Execution
  • Lead the development of comprehensive sales strategies across multiple channels including coops, private key accounts, and other sales avenues, ensuring alignment with the company?s long-term business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify new market opportunities and incorporate strategic insights and foundational ideas that drive business growth.
Sales and Performance Management
  • Oversee sales performance across all channels, setting high-level sales targets and ensuring these are achieved through effective sales plans and strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators across all sales teams, providing strategic direction and data-driven adjustments to enhance overall sales performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales processes and strategies to ensure optimal alignment with market dynamics and organizational goals.
  • Manage high-level negotiations with major clients and key accounts to secure beneficial agreements and sustain long-term partnerships.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Provide leadership and direction to Channel Sales Managers and their teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and operational excellence.
  • Organize and chair regular meetings with sales leadership to set goals, review performance, and discuss strategic sales initiatives.
  • Develop and implement training programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales force, ensuring all team members are well-equipped to meet their targets.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, offering feedback and career development guidance to sales managers and team leaders.
Budget and Resource Allocation
  • Manage the overall sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with strategic sales objectives.
  • Oversee the allocation and optimization of resources across different sales channels to ensure they are utilized effectively to achieve business goals.
Relationship Management and Networking
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, external partners, and major clients to ensure continuous business cooperation and new growth opportunities.
  • Build and sustain a network of industry contacts that contribute to a deeper understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
Operational Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with all sales policies and procedures across channels, maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Oversee the operational logistics of sales campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and handle strategic projects as assigned by senior management to support the company?s overarching sales and marketing objectives.
