Job Description

About this role:

  • Perform quality inspection of food products to ensure meeting specific standards
  • Perform inspection of food establishment in the fields which he is assigned within the scope of his expertise
  • Perform documented food inspection including food handlers and places where food is being handled during any time of the duty hours or even after duty hours in case of suspicious food handling practices
  • Verify the documents and records of the food establishments and places where food is being handled
  • Work in accordance with Quality policies and Quality objectives within ISO 17020 system
  • Perform inspection within food safety rules, Qatar laws and ISO 17020 standard
  • Record required documents as reporting to Supervisor
  • Follow all developments in food sector such as new food technology, food legislation, standards and operational criteria
  • Conduct any other scientific or technical tasks assigned to him in the field of work
  • Perform other related duties to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
What you need to bring:
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Public Health or Food Sciences or veterinary medicine or another relevant field to Food Safety or high school or diploma for inspectors posts
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in food control or food handlers/ food establishments inspection or another relevant field or food analysis
  • Received ISO/IEC 17020 Standard training (certification to be attached with CV)
  • Usage of electronic system & expert level skills in MS Office
  • The inspectors must have the PPE usage awareness
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Proficiency in Arabic Language is preferable.
