Job Description

OverviewOur Finance team is looking for a results-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor who can work well performing duties for Global Services Delivery based out of Kuwait. The Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor will support the development of cost control solutions, Project Management Reporting, and Estimate at Completion for multiple projects across the company.Responsibilities

  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Cost Accounting
  • Tracking monthly performance
  • Providing analytical insight
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Driving improvement actions
  • Monthly forecasts (P&L, BS and OCF)
  • Roll-up of the project
  • Developing detailed project cost forecasts
  • Tracking monthly performance
  • Tax reporting support
QualificationsEducation / Certifications: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
  • A minimum education level of a bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is needed.
Experience:
  • At least seven to ten years of progressive experience in the following areas:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Cash Flow Analysis
  • Continuous Improvement tools (i.e., Six Sigma)
  • Tax reporting support
  • Public Company SOX
  • International exposure & knowledge
  • Defense/Aerospace exposure?
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles, Candidates need to be adept at booking debits and credits
  • Strong understanding of Revenue recognition and ASC606 as it relates to defense contractors and the cost-to-cost methodology for revenue recognition.
  • Strong systems understanding and the ability to pull data from multiple sources and manipulate it for analysis
  • Developed business acumen to facilitate productive business partnering
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for resolving issues and giving guidance both locally and remotely
  • Understanding of COSO framework and SOX requirements
  • Demonstrated history of driving meaningful process improvements
  • Strong financial analysis/reporting skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with ability to assemble large volumes of data and inputs and organize for strategic decision making with an acute sense of urgency
  • Experience with IFS strongly preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and able to deal tactfully and effectively with employees in all levels of the organization
Supervisory/Budgetary Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a Section of up to 5 employees.
Other Requirements:
  • Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
