Job Description

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)American International University, Kuwait for immediate startAmerican International University (AIU) is looking for a dynamic and engaged full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). We seek an individual who is passionate about helping others and who can respond to emergency and non-emergency healthcare situations on campus, and meet the demanding nature of the job. and working with young adults, fomenting mental health and behavioral health services for students.Responsibilities of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

  • Provide basic life support or first-aid to patients before they are transported to the hospital.
  • Determine the right course of action after evaluating the patient?s condition.
  • Provide medical aid such as AED, CPR, prevent spinal damage, ventilation, control severe bleeding, prevent shock, bandaging wounds, etc., to stabilize patient?s condition if necessary.
  • Clean equipment. Check and replace the used and damaged supplies.
  • Refer patients to the emergency units of a hospital when necessary.
  • Prepare a patient care report and take notes of the medical treatment given to them.
  • Restock all supplies in the clinic and replace used blankets, linens, and other supplies.
  • Utilize calming techniques, when necessary, with patients and others.
  • Attend refresher program and continuing education as required by medical control, employers, certifying or licensing agencies.
Qualifications for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Completion of EMT Certification program
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
