Ensure that all law and fiscal regulations of the country, which affect the financial matters of the restaurant, are complied with.
Shall be responsible for establishing standardized restaurant SOP in accordance with internal financial practice.
Shall be responsible for budget forecasts including investment budget and operating budgets and shall keep a record of monthly budgetary discrepancies.
Ensure the safekeeping and updating of all leases and contracts and all other legal records and document which may affect the financial status of the restaurant.
Direct and assume responsibility for proper execution of the restaurant?s accounting practices, maintenance of accurate financial records, and the timely preparation of financial reports.
Utilize standard reporting, as well as insightful comprehensive metrics, to drive continuous improvement for the restaurant.
Shall establish forms of different reporting system to keep the management up to date of its financial position.
Shall consolidate different sources of funds and expenses to submit a profit and loss statement to management in each calendar month.
Shall maintain controls of the different services, in particular food and beverage cost.
Supervise and participate in the preparation and review of all monthly and annual financial statements.
Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the restaurant, making specific recommendations that will result in revenue enhancement, cost reductions and/or profit improvement and benefit to the restaurant overall.
Check purchase requests against approved budgets prior to committing funds; exercise accounting control to ensure that expenditures do not exceed authorized levels.
Supervise preparation of all financial reports, ledger reviews and forecasts according to the established schedule, for distribution of operational information necessary to assist management in decision-making and budget preparation processes.
Compile financial data related to operations, investigate and critique variances from expectations to determine cause and recommend appropriate management response to ensure attainment of company?s financial objectives.
Establish and oversee/audit all internal financial controls to include purchasing, cash handling, receipts, disbursements, expendable/fixed asset inventories, payroll records to ensure policies are enforced according to company standards.
Assist management in the capital planning process by providing appropriate ROI information.
Coordinate the development of the Annual Budget and Monthly Forecasts.
Maintain files, pertaining to and ensuring compliance with, insurance policies, all contracts and legal agreements.
Approve as needed all purchase orders, payroll submittals, cash transfers to owners, manual checks, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, month end journal entries, bad debt write-offs and all restaurant billings etc.
Direct cash management activities to ensure the proper use and timely availability of funds.
Evaluate department?s individual?s performance, determine KPIs and areas in need of improvement or requirements for advancement, establish goals, objectives and training needs required to achieve same.
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by Executive Office.
