Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:The Cost controller position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost Controller must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to managementSCOPE:Improve financial status by analyzing results. Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts for both manufacturing as well as entire company performance.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing, studying, analysing production costing cycle and make necessary corrective action as per company policy.
  • Reviewing, analyse the production standard set with the actual achieved.
  • Monitoring production cost and preparing variance report.
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
  • Updating standard cost in the bill of materials as per variance study report and approvals. - Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems - Making necessary physical stock taking at production area and report the variance.
  • Regularly review standard and actual costs and report the variances.
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
  • Work with the materials review committee to locate and dispose of obsolete items.
  • Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses by coordinating with factory team.
  • Report on breakeven points by products and margins by product
  • Supporting any other tasks and reports required by the management.
