a) Development & Supervision: Develop and supervise the development of GIS software applications for Desktop, Server, and Mobile platforms.Prepare implementation plans, schedules, and monitor progress.Oversee contractor-side GIS programmers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.b) Source Code & Version Control: Manage source code maintenance and enforce version control protocols.c) User Requirements & Stakeholder Liaison: Participate in analyzing organizational user requirements for GIS system implementation.Liaise with stakeholders to address issues and technology concerns, providing expert recommendations.d) System Architecture Design: Provide GIS system architectural design aligned with organizational needs.e) Capacity Planning: Plan for GIS hardware, software, and licensing requirements.f) Resources & Reporting: Plan, monitor, and report on resource utilization and project progress.g) Project Planning & Guidance: Contribute to project planning.Provide guidance on GIS application development based on internationalstandards and best practices.h) Policies & Procedures: Participate in generating software implementation and deployment policies inline with company regulations and policies.i) Technology Evaluation: Assist in technology selection and evaluation processes.Qualifications:a) Educational Background: University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or an equivalent field.b) Certifications: Professional certifications in IT, Project Management, and GIS are preferred.c) Experience: Experience in Oil & Gas industry is preferred.d) Skills: Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.Strong documentation skills.
