Job Description

The Barista and Cashier position is a dynamic role that combines customer service with beverage preparation in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista and Cashier, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and tea beverages while providing exceptional service to customers. This role requires a passion for coffee, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will be the face of the establishment, ensuring that each customer leaves with a smile and a delightful experience.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes.
  2. Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
  4. Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer inquiries about menu items.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  7. Assist in training new staff members on beverage preparation and customer service protocols.
  8. Participate in promotional activities and events to enhance customer engagement.
  9. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  10. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  4. Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation.
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  8. Team player with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  9. Passion for coffee and a desire to share that enthusiasm with customers.
  10. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management.
