Job Description

The backup & disaster recovery administrator is responsible for managing daily backup activities and the disaster recovery solution.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Support Guides and related documentation is up to date.
  • Understand IT and ITO Service Model and how daily activities are related to its defined Services.
  • Fulfill corporate compliance tasks including mandatory training and weekly timesheets.
  • Participate to support shift on Storage & Backup perimeter?s
  • Enforce existing Global standards for Storage & Backup perimeter
  • Perform daily monitoring and management of all backup related activities, including executing restore jobs, troubleshooting failed jobs, and initiating corrective action
  • Perform diagnosis, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any issues escalated on the storage and backup platforms
  • Participate in the building, installation, configuration and testing of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure for new use, upgrades, or lifecycle replacement
  • Create and communicate reports for backup and storage environments
