Job Description

Our company is looking for an experienced Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking and pastries, as well as a strong background in French pastry preparation and presentation. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads
  2. Follow recipes and ensure that all ingredients are measured accurately
  3. Decorate pastries and desserts using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and molding
  4. Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, and report any issues to the Head Pastry Chef
  5. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all sanitation and safety guidelines
  6. Assist with the inventory management of pastry supplies and ingredients
  7. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, and participate in ongoing training and development
  9. Assist in managing and training junior pastry staff members
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
Preferred Candidate:
  1. 2-5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef
  2. Proven track record of creating and presenting high-quality pastries and desserts
  3. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  4. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  7. Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box
  8. Knowledge of current pastry trends and techniques
  9. Ability to adapt to changing menus and dietary restrictions
  10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
