Applications Development SpecialistAmerican International University, KuwaitTheApplications Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the university IT department, responsible for creating and managing internalapplications to support various operational functions. This position requires a strong background inapplicationdevelopment, with particular emphasis on Microsoft app creation and SharePoint management. Additionally, familiarity with biometric-based time attendance software and report generation is preferred.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain internalapplications to meet the universitys operational needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective solutions.
• Utilize Microsoft app development tools and frameworks to create intuitive and user-friendlyapplications.
• Manage and administer SharePoint sites, ensuring proper access controls, document management, and collaboration capabilities.
• Enhance existingapplications by implementing new features, functionalities, and integrations.
• Troubleshootapplicationissues and provide timely resolution to ensure smooth operations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices inapplicationdevelopment and SharePoint management.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensureapplicationreliability and optimal performance.
• Assist in the integration of biometric-based time attendance software, ensuring accurate data capture and seamless integration with existing systems.
• Generate and analyze reports from variousapplications, providing valuable insights and recommendations for process improvement.Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience inapplicationdevelopment, preferably with a focus on Microsoft app creation.
• Proficiency in SharePoint administration and management.
• Familiarity with biometric-based time attendance software and report generation.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and database concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Prior experience in a similar role or relevant projects is highly desirable.
