We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client an AIRPORT OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTRE MANAGER on a 2-year renewable contract.PurposeDirectly supervise the airport OCC and monitor performance, be alert to and report potential issues, address, and close occurrences reported.Control, prepare, communicate, and coordinate the airport operations activities, resulting in improved service, productivity, people, and customer results.Experience/Qualifications:Bachelor?s Degree from a recognized/accredited university.A minimum of Five (5) years? working experience in this field,Licenses and certificates will support the qualification level.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and able to read, write, speak, and understand English.Specific Skills and Knowledge:Prior experience working in an OCC or equivalent environment.Knowledge of IATA and ICAO Regulations.Knowledge of airline scheduling and slot management.Knowledge of airport operationsComputer applications.Duties/Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the OCC and maintain a close connection to the daily operation.Manage OCC staffing, schedules and performance and provide input, strategy, and guidance to their daily operation plan.Manage dispatch activities including revising and developing dispatch procedures to ensure and enhance a safe and efficient airline operation.Coordinate with appropriate departments to maintain operational control.Identify and manage potential and actual operational issues and risks and take corrective action by managing day-to-day issues.Monitor airport performance daily and provide status updates to leadership.Assist in the research and evaluation of delays, cancellations, or other operational issues.Establish and implement department policies, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.Manage and provide operational support during irregular operations.Assist in developing OCC staffing requirements and overseeing interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
