Job Description

Essential FunctionsÿPerform the design engineering work of Department related scope for the concerned project by preparing the Department Project Execution Plan, providing instructions to each Engineer, verifying design outputs by the Engineers, coordinate with other parties to ensure that the project is completed as per the objectives, the contracts in line with the engineering department?s strategy and objectives as well as JGC Gulf initiative while ensuring safety.Engineering Operations Managementúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Lead and implement the plan for specific tasks to the fair quality, cost and schedule to ensure completion according to desired time and cost constraints as per project execution plan and strategy.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Prepare Project Execution plan for specific assigned area including, deliverable list with target date, cost down idea, risk identification & countermeasure plan to align project, JGC Gulf and department objectives.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Support Lead Engineer for Planning, evaluating and Selecting Engineering Subcontractor use for the concerned project.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Contribute to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and complex coordination requirements.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Coordinate project activities with other operating or engineering units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Deliver independently on more complex tasks /activities to contribute to project objectives according to Lead Engineer?s direction.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Participate in professional organizations to maintain current knowledge of technical innovations.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Coordinate and make interface with other engineering disciplines.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Assist in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design, bids, and proposals.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Outline project requirements, assign tasks, and supervise progress to ensure that objectives are being met.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Supervise preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects as requested.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Provide technical guidance to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and designers.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Analyze the contracts and procurement data sheet to ensure alignment with the clients? requirements.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Guide designers, project teams, vendors, design engineers, etc., to ensure that the project is completed in the time and budget required.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Review the developed daily schedules and plan to ensure that the projects are completed in a successful manner with the timeframe and budget required.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Solve more complex problems and issues escalated from engineers to ensure actions are recommended according to set standards and president experience.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Review and approve plans and data evaluated with regards to the projects progress, RFPs, procurements, etc., to be provided to management for review and approval.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Follow existing design quality assurance system and provide engineering deliverables with their design quality.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Verify contractual requirement and design inputs for design work.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Distribute to Engineers under him necessary information to execute his design engineering work.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Guide Engineers under him & help make decisions on the engineering design, and projects in a timely & effectively to be completed to ensure the design output will meet project & JGC Gulf set objectives.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Solve more complex problems and issues escalated from engineers to ensure actions are recommended according to set standards and president experience.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Coordination with other disciplines, client, vendors and engineering subcontractors to ensure design engineering work and output will meet the project objectives.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Prepare material requisition to vendor, evaluating vendor proposal technically and selecting vendor, verifying vendor?s document and inspecting engineered equipment by vendors.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Attend kick off meetings and Design Review Meeting with vendor after Purchase Order to ensure that the vendor designs and materials are aligned with the contracts and project requirements.
