Job PurposeThe purpose of Production Mechanic is to assemble and install generator sets and related equipment. The person in this job must work successfully in a cross-functional team with electricians and welders.Main Responsibilities1) Read mechanical drawings and get clarifications from the productionsupervisor and/or design engineers to clear any ambiguity before starting2) Check and familiarize with the components before assembly3) Report any defective parts to the production supervisor4) Discuss any issues regarding the drawings with supervisor and concernedteam members of Engineering department5) Highlight to production supervisor faulty equipment6) Highlight to production supervisor any delay in meeting deadlines7) Maintain toolbox as per the standard and report any shortages of tools orconsumables to the production supervisor8) Pay attention to his personal safety and that of others in the work area9) Expected to strictly adhere to the health and safety guidelines
