Main Purpose: You will be part of the Middle East engineering team which provides the following mix of services: field service, design & testing of retrofit projects, installation & commissioning of retrofit projects, customer support, training and sales support, all in relation to Woodward digital control systems, fuel valves, actuators and HMI operator stations used on rotating machinery.?You will be based in the TECS Al Khobar Office and perform work in the office as well as on customer sites throughout the Middle East.?You will be involved in all phases of turbine retrofits, from sales to design, installation and commissioning. On steam turbines, retrofits mostly consist of replacement of old governor/actuation systems by new actuators, speed sensors and a control system.You will also provide service on Woodward mechanical governors and actuators, for which you will be trained at our authorized service center in The Netherlands.?Key Duties and Responsibilities:????????? Conduct site surveys and discuss retrofit solutions for mechanical scope????????? Provide input, sketches and estimates for retrofit proposals????????? Design for piping modifications, isometrics and material lists????????? Valve, orifice and accumulator sizing and selection????????? Design of mounting brackets, linkages and connecting rods for actuators????????? Design of turbine speed gear and sensor mounting modifications????????? Specification of installation contractor scope for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation????????? Selection and management of installation contractors and suppliers????????? Inspection and quality control of subcontractor and supplier goods and work????????? Supervision of site installation activities????????? Commissioning and service of actuators and mechanical governors????????? Provide technical support, field service and training to customers????????? Provide documentation needed as per customer QAQC requirements (ITP, PQP, RFI, QC Dossier, Etc.?)
