Job Purpose:The position is responsible to direct and lead the operational activities and resources with the objective to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce costs wherever necessary.Key Responsibility Areas & Activities:Planning & Coordination? Review schedules provided by sales and marketing section and recommend modification? Coordinate activities of operations to meet annual profit goals? Work to develop process improvement strategies as well as resource allocation? Recommend cost effective solutions to management based on daily observationsOperational Control? Monitor schedules and time tables to ensure compliance? Assist with securing necessary resources (materials, parts, equipment, human resource etc.) to perform tasks.? Analyze reports to detect issues and take corrective actions? Supervise and motivate team members to improve performanceBudgeting? Prepare annual budget plan by reviewing operational requirements? Assist Finance in costing by giving adequate inputsMaintenance? Review and approve maintenance plans? Ensure that preventive maintenance is being carried out as per approved plans? Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurementPeople Management? Allocate responsibilities to staff members and rotate staff if required? Coach and direct junior team members to ensure efficiency at every level? Identify necessary training needs and ensure training needs are met? Evaluate employee performance annuallyQuality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)? Review and approve QHSE related policies and procedures when required? Ensure that team members are aware of the company policies and procedures and trained on? Ensure the implementation of QHSE rules and regulations in production area? Ensure the availability and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
