In partnership with Niagara College KSA, LNA provides a specialized two-year diploma training program for entry-level jobs in new market opportunities. ?The first year, the Academic Program, solidifies English, IT, Math, and H&S skills as part of the performance-based curriculum. In the second year, the Job Skills Program provides the latest knowledge and skills training in different vocational trades and sectors (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Chemical Lab Technician, Business Administration, Electrical Technician, Quality Control Building Inspection, and Health, Safety & Environment). LNA prides itself on its integral reliance on smart learning solutions (e.g. iPads, Smartboards, blended learning) to efficiently equip carefully selected trainees (A2 minimum) through high quality training.?Applications are invited for the position of Specialist, IT at Niagara College KSA, Leading National Academy (LNA) in Al Khobar. Reporting to the Campus Principal, the role of this position serves to support day-to-day IT operations of the academy by working with internal and external stakeholders, provide staff training on newly installed software and programs, and works collaboratively with other departments in order to provide quality client service. The Specialist, IT will also develop and document procedures as well as provide hardware and software support. Niagara College supports a wide range of computer related equipment and software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows OS and Office Software, Apple OS, Linux, Cisco (telephones, switches and routers).?Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve and document problems related to software and hardware and ensure relevant parties receive the needed data
  • Recommend upgrades or patches for both applications and equipment
  • Identify problems and related issues, analyze the behavior of issues in comparison to what is needed
  • Support, design, maintain and monitor internal and external networks
  • Resolve network performance issues and establish a network disaster recovery plan
  • Install and maintain computer hardware/software and other equipment for administrative, academic, trainee and support staff, providing technical support for computer-related and other equipment problems
  • Install and maintain telephone hardware/software and other equipment for administrative, academic, trainee and support staff, providing technical support as needed
  • Install and maintain printers, scanners and audio-visual equipment for administrative, academic, trainee and support staff, providing technical support as needed
  • Assist in implementing network related systems & applications
  • Evaluate, design, implement and maintain software to meet the current goals
  • Assist in planning, evaluating and selecting new hardware and software
  • Manage small or short-duration projects
  • Manage mission-critical systems
  • Manage long-duration projects
  • Assist in preparation and tracking the IT inventory
