Job Description

Role Purpose: To develop the complete electrical design, providing engineering output to internal and external customers, using computer-aided design software, in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and company engineering procedures, to enable the successful execution of the project, and to supervise other design engineers to ensure successful completion of their projects, and to cooperate with team leaders and standardization engineers to improve the engineering systemDuties Performed:

  1. Review the opening order, job specifications, and available drawings from the customer.
  2. Prepare a complete electrical drawing package for submission to the client as per project requirements.
  3. Create an electrical bill of material for the project.
  4. Continuously monitor and support the drafters to ensure schedules are met, and procedures are followed.
  5. Submit the detailed electrical drawing package, including the detailed internal layout and wiring diagrams for release to manufacture.
  6. Plan and communicate the committed dates for the project engineering submittals, and proactively update the planned dates as per the received customer changes
  7. Support the team leader in the planning of the activities for Megaprojects
  8. Scan all the project documents after launching and highlight all the clarifications and conflicts before starting the design.
  9. Work progressively towards eliminating the Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) due to internal causes.
  10. Work progressively towards eliminating the issuance of Revised Bill of Materials (BOMs) due to internal causes.
  11. Monitor and control all the received customer changes so that they can be adequately implemented in the design submittals / re-submittals
  12. Review the drawings of other design engineers
  13. Support other design engineers to scan and review the project documents.
