Job Description

Objectives:?Our client, a financial services company in KSA, is looking for a Compliance and Government Manager to join their team in Khobar. The main objective of this job is to manage the entire compliance function as a link between Saudi Monetary Authority (SAMA) and the company.??Responsibilities:?

  • Coordinating with SAMA and ensuring that the Company fully complies with all SAMA rules and regulations.
  • Identifying and managing all compliance risks and monitoring developments.
  • Analyzing new procedures, policies, and operations, and recommend procedures to address relevant compliance risks.
  • Follow a risk-based compliance program and include its findings in the quarterly reports
  • Ensuring that all Quarterly reports, financial statements, and other reports required by SAMA are submitted before due dates.
  • Reviewing compliance-related complaints and preparing written instructions for employees, when necessary.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Set internal policies and procedures to combat financial crimes, such as money laundering and terrorism finance.
  • Monitor compliance with money laundering and terrorism finance laws, regulations, and rules.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Promote awareness of compliance issues and train employees on compliance-related matters through periodic programs.
  • Report promptly any irregularities or violations to SAMA and the audit committee
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as directed.
  • Treating cybersecurity related risks as a company-related risk, not just the IT department.
  • Understand the risks related to cybersecurity and their impact from a legal and regulatory perspective.
  • Taking cybersecurity into consideration when previewing a new service provider or customer, and when sharing data with outside parties.
  • Encourage?employees to complete cybersecurity training.
  • Discussing potential risks in the department and sharing them with the responsible person in the cybersecurity department.
  • Assist with the preparation and amendment of organizational regulations, allocation of authority document, corporate governance and risk management guidelines.
  • Responsible for working on all aspects of the CG Index project including collecting and archiving data information; scoring process of performance and compliance of company.
  • Advising the board on corporate governance principles and the implementation of governance programs.
  • Managing board and committee administration and carrying out the board?s instructions
  • Implementing the corporate strategy.
  • Ensuring information flows effectively within the board and with and between board, committees, and between managing director and management.
  • Preparing minutes and meetings.
  • Frequent communication with SAMA and top management of the Company.
  • Frequent and prompt decision making in consultation with the top management as well as independently.
