Headquartered in the Houston, Texas, CB&I has the global expertise and strategically located operations to provide engineering, procurement and construction solutions for our customers? most complex energy projects.The Construction Procurement Materials Tech handles all aspects of Supplier Quality Surveillance associated work.ResponsibilitiesReview and understand Procurement specifications and contract quality requirements for supplier supplied equipment/materials for CB&I projects. Work with Procurement to provide required supplier quality surveillance and inspection services (source inspections) to support project schedule. Ensure supplier surveillance/inspection records and documentation are developed and maintained. Ensure surveillance/inspection personnel are knowledgeable, qualified and/or certified for the supplier supplied equipment/material surveillance/inspection to be performed. Coordinate Third party inspection agencies when required to perform surveillance/inspection activities.Primary Functions:? Understand procurement specification requirements? Understand procurement contract requirements? Ensure sufficient staff is available to perform supplier quality surveillances/inspections? Schedule personnel to perform supplier quality surveillances/inspections? Ensure supplier quality surveillances/inspections support CB&I project schedules? Ensure supplier quality surveillance/inspection records and documentation is developed and maintained? Ensure surveillance/inspection record and NCR Logs are maintainedDetailed Functions:1) Participate in Precon identification and input on Source inspection and Quality Requirement that affect cost and delivery based on Tank List components, including adding mhrs involvement for the role for post contract execution2) Participate in conformed contract review and KOM at initial stage and identify Criticality Rating / Inspection Level for all components for CBI scope of supply, and work with Purchasing Manager and PM to create SQS Plan, and highlight inspection/testing related lead time for the overall buying cycle that is reported in the CSM3) Is part of the ?Requisition group? which is essential to create a complete buying demand package to buyer consisting of IRF (Inspection Requirement Form / SDR (Supplier Document Register = deliverables needed from supplier pertaining to inspection and testing) / RITA (Requisition Index of Technical Attachments = contract and internal requirement flow downs to ensure client / CBI requirement for inspection and testing are conveyed to supplier as part of requisition and not post PO)4) Based on contract requirement and minimum CBI requirement, provide for each component ? as identified ? IRF / SDR / RITA (even when no source inspection is needed, inspection and testing requirement have to be conveyed to supplier, along with contract flow downs and documents needed from supplier for full compliance and adequacy of orders)5) Participate where required in the TEDS process, and liaise with client for any deviation through Project Team (raising TQ or deviations as warranted to clear points)6) Participate in PIM where required based on the defined criticality rating/inspection level for the components7) Review supplier deliverables pertaining to inspection and testing for alignment with the set requirement8) Compile Inspection Assignment Packages consisting of unpriced PO / IRF / SDR / RITA (along with the docs ) / drawings and data sheets as applicable / templates for filling for source inspections, along with ensuring latest revisions are always updated and communicated9) Coordinate source inspections and notifications as necessary to client, and ensure iDocs is always up to date with source inspector records, signed certs and supplier inspection records10) Perform Supplier Audits where required
