Job Description

APQ COOP Trainee - Project Management and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY

  • The CO-OP will be part of Project Management Team for Air Products Qudra, Head office at Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV), and will be assigned to the Project Site located at Jubail-II.
  • Will be focused on learning, evaluating, and preparing best practices by being part of APQ world scale Project with opportunities to apply, expand and consolidate their knowledge in a real working environment.
  • The CO-OP will be supporting the APQ Jubail Industrial Gas Hub, a world-scale steam methane reformer (SMR) to produce hydrogen; an air separation unit (ASU) to produce oxygen and nitrogen; hydrogen pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units to recover hydrogen from off-gases; and pipeline networks to connect and transport industrial gases to the broad refinery and chemical customer base in the region.
  • Will be given technical expertise as required to assist in overseeing and coordinating any engineering analysis, construction site activities, and support of proof-of-concept or final system testing.
  • Will be required to deliver high quality products to tight deadlines. Additionally, the CO-OP will also closely coordinate to learn how to work in a team and deliver quality products within set timeframes.
  • Support in the procurement and logistics tracking of materials by following up with the purchases, deliveries and monitoring of availability at site.
  • Assist in preparing/reviewing design briefs and design reports that address specific APQ and stakeholder requirements and specifications as and when necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring the documents prepared meet the quality standard requirements
  • Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures.
  • Promotes a safe work environment through the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures.
Primary Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Develop working understanding of jobsite coordination, schedules, quality control and safety.
  • Perform engineering design calculations and regular quality checks as necessary.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries and workforce levels.
  • Ability to read and understand Standards, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings and models.
  • Ability to effectively present information in written, verbal, and presentation form
  • Ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems - assess a situation, gather data, analyze the data, propose a solution.
  • Work productively with others in evaluating problems and alternatives.
  • Attend project progress meetings with contractors.
  • Conduct technical presentations/demonstrations as necessary.
  • Support the project team to record, distribute and monitor completion of punch list and other quality control inspections.
  • Assist in compiling and verifying project closeout documentation.
