To be trained in Compounding Sterile Preparation (CSP), (IV Admixture, PN, etc.) and able to calculate & intervene their prescription and assist their compounding; and it is mandatory to renew employment contract.
All interventions, medication errors, ADRs must be reported and the potentials to be discussed during the staff meetings.
Assists in stock control within the pharmacies and coordinate with warehouse, clinics, nurse stations and physicians to dispense near expiry medications whenever appropriate.
Maintains sterile compounding and clinical competency in compliance to policy and sufficient to meet pharmacy standards for patient safety and effective therapy; compounds, dispensed and performs clinical activities to these standards.
Delegates aspects of the practice of pharmacy to a pharmacy technician within the parameters of their job description.
To supervise technicians in aseptic compounding including parenteral nutrition.
