Job Description

Lifeguard duties:oEnsure all life safety equipment and emergency procedures are in place and in working order and that the area is free of safety hazards.oSupervise activity at the pool and/or beach area to prevent accidents.oRescue swimmers in danger of drowning.oFollow the emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency.oEnsure the pool area is properly maintained to pass inspections and licensing requirements.oUpdate and maintain pool maintenance and inspection records.oEnsure the pool area is properly maintained to pass inspections and licensing requirements.oCaution swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards according to established pool safety regulations.oLead the emergency action plan in the event of an emergency including the administration of CPR and first aid to those in medical emergencies.oTest pool water routinely to ensure proper balance of chemicals.oAssist with the management of pool facilities including the routine set up and cleaning of furniture, equipment and restocking of amenities.
