Job SummaryUnder direction, performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes suppliesand equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staffin the area; and perform related work as required.Roles & Responsibilities

1 Maintains district inventory for Plant supplies which includes ordering, receiving and allocating.2 Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, correspondence.3 Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.4 Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.5 Reports canceled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate.6 Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.7 Identification, segregation and preservation of materials stored8 Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.9 Segregation of waste for proper disposal10 Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of material and to arrange for inspection11 Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.12 Arrange to return non-conforming materials13 Issue material as per the requirements and maintain records14 Perform other duties as assigned.
