Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Is familiar with all instruments required in various cases and specialties.
Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range of equipment, supplies, medications, treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnostics, therapeutic and supportive measures in carrying out medical orders.
Able to manage and monitor patients having sedation.
Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained and rights are upheld.
Communicates and provides accurate and complete information through established verbal and written reports.
Recognizes emergency situations and takes appropriate action providing clinical guidance, direction and coordination of activities for auxiliary staff.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his / her knowledge skills and abilities.
