Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan implement and and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures; provide guidance, direction and coordination for assigned personnel in activities directed towards standards of patient care safety and infection control.
Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range equipment, supplies, medications, treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnostics, therapeutic and supportive measures in carrying out medical orders.
Contributes and influence the total patient experience and journey through collaborative working and effective communications with all members of the multidisciplinary team throughout the hospital.
Monitors and review clinical standards and practice within the clinical area, with particular attention paid to the drive for evidence-based practice.
Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications (orally, subcutaneously, through intravenous)
Educates patients on surgical procedures.
Provides care for and nursing management of gynecology patients.
Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts intravenous and others.
Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing and standards and protocol.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of her knowledge, skills and abilities.
