Job Description

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Min. 10 years of experience in Civil / Structural in a Design & Engineering environment (EPC, Engineering Offices etc.) in the field of Petrochemical, Refinery, Oil, Gas Industry.Knowledge of Industry codes & standards, specifications, data sheets for various types of pumps, compressors, turbines & other rotating equipment. Capable of selection and evaluation of equipment and components thereof such as seals, couplings, cooling & lube systems etc. Fair knowledge of piping & vessels.

  • Carryout Engineering Calculations for sizing, capacity and carryout technology selection for items related to rotating, material selection etc.
  • Prepare material specifications, data sheets and functional specifications and prepare project scope, vendor/contractor scope.
  • Define testing requirements, material and functional and obtain / Provide cross-discipline inputs.
  • Apply strong knowledge of engineering theories and principles by adding value to the business through making sound recommendations and decisions.
  • Demonstrate through technical knowledge of discipline area of specialty such as equipment types, engineering software and calculations to be able to approve design, engineering deliverables and equipment supplier evaluation.
  • Show strong competency in regard to application of engineering, value engineering, other applicable value improvement processes and best practices relevant to discipline area of specialty.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of design requirements for plant operation, safety, reliability and maintenance in order to improve the optimization process.
  • Capability to interpret Project standards, specifications, analyze exceptions when put up by vendors / contractors and to provide technical and engineering support to rotating equipment issues.
  • Provide design & engineering review of engineering carried out by outside parties e.g., EPC Contractors, Engineering Contractors Vendors etc.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions with engineering and material deliverables and work requirements
  • Knowledge of ASTM, API, ASME, and other applicable International Industry Standards and Codes.
  • Knowledge with engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, engineering standards specs and codes.
  • Familiar with ISO environment.Knowledge of PC & Engineering Software related to the discipline.
