Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer (Mechanical)Location: Jubail, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Oil & GasExperience Required: 10-15 yearsWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer (Mechanical) to join our dynamic team in Jubail. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, scheduling, and coordination of mechanical engineering activities on large-scale oil and gas projects. You will work closely with the project management team, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and on time.Key Responsibilities:•Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical engineering works within oil and gas projects.•Lead planning activities and track the progress of mechanical work, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.•Coordinate with project teams, including mechanical engineers, procurement, construction, and vendors, to ensure effective implementation of project plans.•Provide expert advice and support in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS).•Monitor and report on project performance, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.•Prepare and review progress reports, resource allocation, and material management plans to ensure all project requirements are met on time.•Collaborate with the engineering design team to ensure that the planning and execution align with project specifications and requirements.•Assess project changes and provide a clear impact analysis on timelines, costs, and resources.•Participate in project meetings, presenting detailed reports on progress and performance.•Utilize advanced planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) for accurate tracking and reporting.•Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations throughout the planning and execution phases.Requirements:•Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.•10-15 years of experience in mechanical planning and scheduling, specifically within the oil and gas industry.•Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, with a focus on mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance.•Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling methodologies, as well as risk management.•Expertise in using planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.•Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.•Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.•Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.•Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:•Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent is highly desirable.•Experience working in Jubail or the wider Saudi Arabian oil and gas industry is an advantage.Benefits:•Competitive salary and benefits package.•Opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile projects in the oil and gas sector.•Career growth and development opportunities.
