Bechtel has managed the Jubail project, located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, since it began in the mid-1970s. Bechtel serves as the Management Services Contractor (MSC), or ?owner?s representative? for our client, the Royal Commission (RC). We are the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) managers, managing design submissions from local AE firms, and overseeing the actual construction work being performed by local contractors and sub-contractors in Jubail Industrial City. In June 2021, Bechtel?s contract with the Royal Commission was renewed for another 5 years with work focusing on building new residential communities, iconic buildings/ bridges, major site preparation, commercial buildings, mosques, schools, hospitals, sports facilities, clinics, universities, utility services and infrastructure (electrical sub-stations, lift stations), roads and highways, port & pipeline expansions, and more.Major Responsibilities:SUMMARY:Job Purpose:

• Support the development, maintenance and monitoring of the Business Continuity Management System for the Royal Commission in Jubail and the Royal Commission in Ras Al Khair.

Basic responsibilities and functional tasksOperational tasks

• Ensure relevant policies and plans for Business Continuity are developed and maintained in alignment with ISO 22301: 2019.
• Support the development and maintenance of business impact analyses.
• Support the identification of business critical activities in all parts of the Royal Commission in Jubail and the Royal Commission in Ras Al Khair
• Provide advice and guidance on the development and implementation of strategies to counteract the potential impacts of business disrupting events.
• Support the creation of Business Continuity Plans for the internal departments in the Royal Commission including staff training in order to maintain their departmental plans.
• Review existing disaster recovery, crisis management, and/or business continuity plans.
• Oversee the process of developing culture/awareness of business continuity management within the Royal Commission and ensure the reach to every level of management.
• Assist in the development, design and delivery of training and exercises to test and exercise business continuity and resilience plans and capabilities.
• Be prepared to represent the Crisis and Disaster Management Department at the Royal Commission Crisis and Disaster Management Tactical Group and Business Continuity Operational Planning Groups.
• Be prepared to respond to business interrupting events.
• Understand the role of the Business Continuity Supervisor and be prepared to deputize, if needed.
• Work with and across all sections of the Crisis and Disaster Management Department to ensure continuity of services and workloads.
• Assist with requests from the Director of Crisis and Disaster Management Department.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:Essential Technical:

• Diploma / Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years? work experience in Business Continuity Management.

Essential Behavioral:

• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to explain and present new work processes and technologies to all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate leadership in a team-based environment.
• Ability to balance work requirements from multiple competing task assignments.

Preferred Technical:

• Emergency services and/or health services type experience and training.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

PreferredBehavioral:

• Self-motivated individual with good leadership and interpersonal skills and experience, with the ability to influence.
• Ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilitieswith demonstrated experience providing direction/supervising a team.
• Ability to work within an integrated Royal Commission/Bechtel team at multiple levels from working level to Project Manager level.
• Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders to make critical decisions where required.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
