Mechanical Engineer ? Rotating Equipment (Shutdowns & Turnarounds)SMH is seeking a skilled and results-driven Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance and repair, specifically during shutdowns and turnaround activities. This is a site-based role, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality execution.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee shutdown and turnaround activities for rotating equipment at site.Ensure all maintenance and repair work is executed in line with quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.Supervise and guide site teams, including supervisors and technicians, ensuring efficient task execution.Monitor project schedules and progress, ensuring milestones are achieved within defined timelines.Take full ownership of site execution, maintaining discipline, coordination, and operational control.Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to best engineering practices and procedures.Report on all site activities, progress updates, and issues to the Technical Manager.Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or quality issues.Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards during all phases of execution.Requirements:Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance and repairs.Experience in shutdowns and turnaround projects.Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment.Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to take authoritative command on site.Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, reporting tools and systems).Strong communication and reporting skills.Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced site environments.
