The HSE Supervisor must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Possess at least 7 years of HSE experience specific to the contract?s scope of work.
Hold a bachelors degree in science/engineering.
Have internationally recognized formal safety training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, or NSC).
Certification from Saudi Aramco approved 3rd party agencies is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
General Safety Oversight:
Visibly demonstrate the priority of safety in all activities, including setting a good personal example.
Develop detailed planning of site activities to ensure proper coordination of interfaces in order to minimize and control potential issues and hazards.
Implement safety awareness programs for the works.
Site Inspections and Compliance:
Periodically inspect the work site, report any unsafe acts/conditions to the area supervisor and/or foreman, provide recommendations to correct deficiencies, and follow up to verify corrective actions have been taken.
Carry out regular safety inspections/surveillance of all site areas in coordination with the HSE Manager.
Scaffolding Supervision:
Planning and Design:
Review project specifications and develop scaffolding plans.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all scaffolding activities comply with OSHA, local regulations, and company safety policies.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety measures.
Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate the scaffolding team.
Liaise with project managers and other supervisors.
Inspection and Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of scaffolds.
Ensure scaffolding is constructed according to design and specifications.
Training and Competency:
Provide training to scaffolders.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks along with site supervisor (If required).
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of scaffolding activities.
Prepare and submit progress reports.
Maintenance and Inventory Management:
Oversee the maintenance and storage of scaffolding materials.
Manage the procurement of necessary scaffolding components.
Emergency Response:
Respond to scaffolding-related emergencies.
Coordinate with the emergency response team.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Address any concerns or issues promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry practices and advancements.
Seek opportunities for process improvements.
The above roles and responsibilities (not limited to) must be ensured by the HSE Supervisor for scaffolds.
