Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available forEngineer III, Applications & Technical Support based inJubail. Reports to Section Head, Molding Job purpose: Responsible for the carry out tasks and assignments designed to fully utilize scientific and industrial knowledge and skills in the field of plastic molding i.e. injection molding, blow molding etc. Builds relationships with specific customers and distributors and begins to act as first point of contact for technical issues.Role responsibilities:

  • Work is reviewed by senior professionals for technical quality & to verify the applied procedures and techniques in the field of plastic molding i.e., injection molding, blow molding etc.
  • Performs varied assignments & day to day activities requiring application of standard and non-standard practices related to plastic molding field i.e., injection, Blow, & rotational molding, which includes prepare & update the procedures & work instruction for all equipment & processes under molding section
  • Work with senior scientists on improvements in standard and nonstandard testing processes, techniques & equipment tasks/projects of a larger scope and assumes some leadership for specific tasks within the project scope in the field of plastic molding. Manage new product development projects to fit specific application requirements and meet the deliverables plan and milestones of the project.
  • Carries out project activities encompassing both general applications work and specific customer account assignment by providing ideas to improve & develop products
  • Applies standard and non-standard methods and techniques, requiring the use of judgment in selecting alternatives; work-plans and approaches and assumes responsibility for timelines, cost-effectiveness, and quality of outputs. Continually aims to enhance capabilities for project planning, including assessment of cost, scope and schedule against the plan.
  • Work with senior scientists & specialist to enhance knowledge in relevant to products and technologies to develop work culture within the molding section to achieve to achieve the desired outcome
  • Builds relationship with designated customers/distributors; first point of contact on technical issues for less complex account
  • May delegate work and mentor to junior scientist & technicians
  • Maintains safe working environment, carrying out work in accordance with good manufacturing practice and relevant SHE requirements.
Qualification and Requirements:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Plastic, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Material/Polymer Science or related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with bachelor?s degree in plastic field i.e. injection molding, blow molding etc. field.
  • ? Effective Communications
  • Data Gathering, Analysis & Reporting
  • Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Controll (SPC), and capability studies
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player
