Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERSABIC UNITED, JUBAIL

  1. To follow and/or ensure the adherence of UNITED/SABIC safety standards and relevant procedures/ work-instructions during the execution of jobs.
  2. To execute the technical support task towards the management and maintenance of the entire power distribution network of the plant including HV/MV/LV systems and equipment such as switchgears, breakers, transformers, GIS, protection equipment and annunciation systems, MCCs, UPS and battery chargers, and lighting systems.
  3. To assist Manager in authorization of electrical personnel to carry out isolation and de-isolation work.
  4. To prepare the switching plan and execute the same as per electrical authority matrix
  5. To assist Manager in preparation of procedures/ work instruction/ check list related to electrical isolation and de-isolation work/ maintenance activities, as & when required.
  6. To coordinate & ensure reliability checks & tests on critical network equipment and accessories like cables protection / control devices, etc.
  7. To coordinate, analyze & ensure timely troubleshooting of installed electrical system/ equipment problems and recommend effective and realistic solutions.
  8. To review preventative maintenance programs in order to increase functional reliability of electrical systems and equipment.
  9. To assist the Manager in resolving technical issues concerning electrical systems and equipment through vendor coordination and relevant feedbacks, as required.
  10. To provide relevant inputs on technical issues of project work.
  11. To carry out technical evaluation and in-field verification of change proposals focusing on system functionality and integrity as required.
  12. To prepare necessary inspection and reliability check/test reports.
  13. To provide inputs and/or prepare necessary departmental monthly / annual reports.
  14. To assist department in compliance of QMS (ISO 9001:2000) and EMS (ISO 14001:2004).
  15. To assist department in identification, monitoring & control of environmental aspect and impacts.
  16. To assist Manager / department Sr. manager in preparation of annual budget.
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical engineering˙
  • Work experience: 3 to 5 years˙
