Job Description

?The laboratory chemist position should be the focal point of all analytical procedure related to physio-chemical properties of water and wastewater processed in the laboratory. It should maintain the daily operational management of specific section of the laboratory.?The position should able to determine errors related to analytical procedure and perform troubleshooting in case of doubt on accuracy of the analyst.?The chemists make sure data and samples being collected are free of any biased and able to record and catalogue this information.? ?????????Ensure that day to day management of the laboratory operations are in according to department standard operation procedure (internal)?

  • Internal calibration plan of every instrument are up to date and validated.
  • Make sure no expire chemicals are being used and chemical inventory list are up to date
  • Make sure that all standards, both primary and secondary are constantly validated
  • Sampling plan are being followed and updated
  • Monitor results and verification of procedures are constantly made to ensure protocols being follow and create action plan in case of non-compliance
  • Submit, collaborate daily, weekly monthly report to the necessary departments relating to operations data noncompliance and recommend action plan
  • Investigate and help creating action plan regarding the selection of appropriate bulk chemicals to be used on site. Using the assets of the laboratory perform small scale testing of new chemicals, use the data collected and recommend actual dosage and method of delivery and any other insight to the end user.
  • Make sure that, samples are completely taken from the sampling site, from time to time run external audit to make sure specification of contracts are being followed by the customer
  • Publish and submit noncompliance letter to the supplier in case of any nonconformance from the side of supplier.?Make sure non conformity are re checked back.
