Job Description

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing financial information. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, you will work closely with the sales team to provide financial analysis and support to optimize sales performance. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the sales department, including recording sales transactions, preparing invoices, and processing payments.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  3. Collaborate with the sales team to provide financial analysis and support, including analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to optimize sales performance.
  4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for the sales department, including analyzing historical data, identifying variances, and making projections for future sales performance.
  5. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, including monitoring sales transactions for accuracy, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  6. Prepare and submit various financial reports and analysis to management, including sales performance reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
  7. Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to improve financial processes and systems, including identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining of financial processes.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance to ensure compliance and optimize financial performance.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2-6 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a sales or retail environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  4. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
