Be personally responsible for planning and safely managing multiple projects in an operating plant through their entire life cycle
Manage projects throughout the stages of FEED, Detail Engineering & Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning
Develop construction packages, bid & award, and manage contractors or EPC firms ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Facilitate adequate and effective communication within and across the project team and stakeholders
Provide oversight and direction for all project execution activities including overall safety, cost, schedule, quality, and risk
Establish and maintain relationships with operations, engineering, construction, and contractor personnel to achieve success
Provide direction and mentoring for junior project engineers
Manage modifications and/or demolition in an operating plant as needed to support installation of new equipment
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain a safe work environment supporting team, organization, and corporate safety goals
Accountable for all phases of project execution including scope development, cost estimating, equipment procurement, engineering, design, construction management, and equipment commissioning.
Develop strategies for execution, procurement, and construction in an operating facility
Develop construction work packages and manage construction including supporting work permit and MOC processes
Overall safety, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management for each project
Share experience, provide direction and mentoring for junior project engineers enhancing overall project team and capabilities
Contract and customer management
Control costs and schedule within budget, in compliance with milestones, and while achieving safety, risk, and quality commitments
Ensure project deliverables and expectations are met by collaborating with engineering, procurement, contractors, and operations
Manage change on projects including assessing impact, developing resolution plans, and taking action to minimize impact
Periodic project reporting
Strong adherence to work process and safe work practices including quality records and project close-out
