Job Description

Principal Objective: A brief summary of the responsibilities of the position.Provides professional architectural discipline support to the Jazan projects with particular emphasis on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes.Organizational Relationship: A brief synopsis of reporting relationships i.e., reports to, supports section, group, etc.; interfaces with senior management, clients, etc.Reports directly to the Section Manager.? Supervises the assigned Architects within his section and the Drafting Section. Interfaces with other engineering disciplines, project staff, other RC/MSC departments, A/E representatives, and construction contractor representatives.Major Activities Performed: List the major job function(s) of the position.

  • Provides architectural input to related projects and programs.
  • Coordinates architectural activities with activities of other disciplines.
  • Provides technical advice to other RC/MSC Sections or Units. Prepares technical specifications and scope of work descriptions.
  • Prepares Request for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.
  • Provides technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences.
  • Reviews A/E contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculations submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines.
  • Reviews vendor and shop drawings, and construction materials and/or equipment submittals.
  • Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
  • Prepares conceptual designs, interface layouts and conflict solutions.
  • Prepares manhour estimates and material takeoffs.
  • Prepares technical correspondence, reports, and studies
