Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYApplications Manager role responsible for managing and supporting the overall company applications, including enhancements to support business operational functionality and improvement, configuration, delivery and integration of new and existing business and industrial applications in order to meet business requirements. This position works with stakeholders to assess business process requirements. The Applications Manager communicates effectively with stakeholders of varying technical skills at all levels of the organization; identifies areas for in-depth investigation and works to define and document process mapping for those areas. This role manages the company?s end-to-end applications lifecycle management and operations that include the following:

  • Technical assessment and selection
  • Implementation
  • On-going operation and support
  • Governance and compliance
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that solutions meet corporate objectives, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve business requirements issues
  • Responsible for meeting the applications management lifecycle requirements including (define, design, build and test, deployment, operation, and optimization)
  • Lead the effort for having the applications policies, procedures, SLAs, guidelines and plans defined and implemented
  • Assist in the creation of long-term strategic goals for achieving and maintaining high data quality in conjunction with business systems users
  • Governance supplier relationships and establish service level agreements with business systems-users to provide and acceptable level of service.
  • Recommend, schedule, and drive applications improvements, patches, upgrades, and/or purchases.
  • Provides daily management and supervision of the assigned departments applications section including Controlling, monitoring, and implementing application change requests.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge base, FAQs, tutorials, help guides, and other educational and training materials provided to end users.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure infrastructure is ready for new application implementations.
  • Ensures that business applications comply with company security policies and local regulations
  • Stays informed of industry and regulatory changes impacting IT applications and reflect changes in the internal departmental processes.
