Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis opportunity is for a key member of the JIGPC EHSSQ leadership functioning as a part of an overall operations, construction, commissioning and start-up team.Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Meet the goal of ZERO harm and accidents to employees, contractors and environment by establishing the EHS culture and EHS management systems and driving compliance.
  • Develop risk assessments necessitated by high risk activity or activities not currently addressed by procedures, working with site team, global and regional teams.
  • Review current EHS work processes and implement safety initiatives to address observed trends in incident or other safety data and manage their implementation.
  • Drive a culture of ?safety first? with transparent reporting of leading and lagging indicators.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable worker safety regulations by establishing the necessary procedures, training, verification, measurement systems, and reports as required to demonstrate compliance.Ensure tools and systems are in place to meet reporting and audit requirements of JIGPC?s lenders related to worker safety.
  • Lead Incident Investigation, RCA?sand facilitation for the site related to worker injuries and significant near misses andcollect, verify, and report associatedmetrics.
  • Implement a behaviour-based safety program at the Jazan IGCC facility
  • Work with Jazan leadership to develop safety goals/metrics.
  • Establish process and methods for maintenance/ contractor safety plans and participate in all facility maintenance outages and/or repair projects to ensure safety planning and safety execution are in line with our goal of zero injuries.
  • Coach and support leadership team, site leaders and operations on safety issues, concerns, and questions.
  • Be the process owner for regional Crisis Management at the senior management level.
  • Establish habit strength in the organization for all key EHSSQ work processes
  • As subject matter expert develop EHSSQ training modules.Promote the development of an organizational culture where safety is highly valued.Provide process safety education and awareness training.
  • As subject matter expert establish / participate in assessments/ audit programs.
  • Reconcile process safety standards and procedures from JV parents.
  • Act as an EHS ambassador; embrace the Responsible Care concept.
