Parsons is now hiring an Entry Level Air Quality Meteorology Analyst with a desire to work on sustainability projects that change the fabric of our community. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.Since 1976, Parsons has served the Royal Commission for Yanbu and recently, Jazan as the program management, master planning, design, engineering and construction management consultant for the Yanbu Industrial City and Jazan Economic City. The Yanbu Industrial City is the longest-running contract in Parsons history and reflects the strong client/consultant partnership that has evolved through the years. Our responsibilities are similar to those of a Public Works Department of municipalities. We assist in long-range strategic and master planning, project initiation, the hiring and management of design consultants, tendering for construction and oversight of all construction projects. These projects range through the full spectrum of infrastructure and facilities that would be expected in a city of 80,000+ population - roads and utilities, residences, schools, health care facilities, police and fire stations, colleges, public buildings, sports facilities and retail centers.Principal Objective:Provides technical advice, guidance and recommendations to air quality monitoring section as well as other sections (marine, water, hazardous waste) if needed, through preparing and reviewing technical reports, on-site inspections, sam le collection and testing.Organizational Relationship:?Receives administrative and technical direction in terms of broad project objectives from the Environmental Control Department Director and Monitoring Section Manager. Occasional contacts with senior management and industries representatives.Major Activities Performed:Review data relating to corrosion of materials, protective coatings and cathodic protection.Recommend the suitability of various materials for specific applications.Review contractors procedures for the application and installation of protective coatings and cathodic protection systems.Coordinate with other departments in matters relating to corrosion and protection of materials.Review the activities of the independent testing laboratory, corrosion or metallurgy.Coordinate with quality control personnel in the areas of corrosion and materials.Conduct inspection to determine the extent of corrosion and make recommendations for corrective maintenance.Prepare technical correspondence, reports and studies.Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.Additional duties and responsibilities per attached sheet.
