Description :Grade Level: L3Location: IslamabadLast date to apply: 29th August, 2024What is Stream Head Regulatory Compliance and Vigilance?As the Stream Head of Regulatory Compliance and Vigilance, this role is pivotal in managing and safeguarding Jazzs interests through subject-specific engagement with regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and the Ministry of Information Technology. It serves as a linchpin for ensuring compliance, preventing enforcement actions, and fostering a conducive environment for business operations.The role reports directly to the Head of Regulatory Operations and has 02 people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 10 team membersWhat Stream Head Regulatory Compliance and Vigilance does?

  • Ensure Jazzs adherence to all regulatory requirements, directives, and guidelines.
  • Proactively engage with regulatory bodies on the matters of regulatory compliance and vigilance to stay informed about changes and updates in the regulatory landscape.
  • Strategically manage communications and interactions with regulatory authorities to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement robust systems to measure and safeguard Jazzs network.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Information Technology.
  • Represent Jazz in government forums, meetings, and consultations.
  • Advocate for Jazzs interests and contribute to the development of policies that support a conducive business environment.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vigilance compliance program.
  • Regularly assess and monitor compliance with vigilance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address any identified compliance gaps.
  • Ensure Jazz sales channels are in compliance with PTA laws
  • Vigilantly making internal policy to avert enforcement actions by PTA on SIM sales issues

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in a relevant field or equivalent role experience.
Soft skills and technical skills required
  • Knowledge of Telecom Laws i.e Telecom Act, Rules, Regulations and SOP?s
  • Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry and regulatory frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in regulatory affairs, cybersecurity, and government relations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance and vigilance programs.
  • Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry and regulatory frameworks.
