Job Description

Reuters is seeking a highly-organised Office Administrator at its Islamabad bureau with excellent administrative, financial and systems management, and people skills to ensure the smooth running of our Afghanistan and Pakistan operations.This challenging role will see you working with Reuters teams across the region and the world.About the RoleAs our Office Administrator, you will:

  • Work with the editorial, technology, and financial teams to oversee and support the Pakistan operation.
  • Provide administrative support to the editorial team.
  • Provide booking and logistical support for remote and in-person activities.
  • Keep records of financial, logistical, and human resource matters.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the Islamabad office.
  • Deal with local vendors and contractors and ensure their payments.
  • Deal with different government departments.
About YouTo be our Office Administrator, you will have:
  • An understanding of local regulations and the ability to talk to different government authorities, if and when required.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role (such as project coordination, administrative duties, personal assistant, or similar).
  • Great organisational skills and ability to collaborate remotely with members across the team.
  • A keen eye for detail with an understanding of data entry and the importance of maintaining data accuracy.
  • A pro-active self-starter with a problem-solving attitude, including prompt follow-through on actions and assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills -- able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • A good command of spoken and written English is a must, as is a basic knowledge of management programmes like Microsoft Excel.
