Grade Level: L3Location: IslamabadLast date to apply: 22nd October, 2023Who is the Manager ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance)?We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Group ESG team ? Environmental, Social, Governance ? as Manager ESG. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in helping the Amsterdam and Dubai-based leadership in IR (Investors Relations) and ESG functions shape and execute VEON?s ESG strategy. You will also help lead the delivery process of the Group?s Integrated Annual Reports (IARs).In your capacity as the ESG Manager, you will be the key interface between HQ and the OpCo?s (the six VEON Operating Companies) on all ESG-related and IAR-related matters. This will include helping setup and manage the soon-to-be-established ESG Group Forum. Lastly, you will play a key role in managing the various third-party vendors that have been selected to support VEON through this journey. You will oversee the process surrounding the collection, assurance and disclosure of non-financial metrics that need to be published as part of the ESG and IAR requirements.The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to foster cross-team collaboration. We are seeking a skilled individual who can help shape and co-lead the ESG strategy and execute against a bold and aggressive roadmap, in support of VEON?s goal to implement a best-in-class ESG approach across all six OpCos and the Group.The role administratively reports to Head of Service Operations at Jazz and functional reporting lies with Amsterdam HQ (Group Director ESG and Integrated Reporting).What does the Manager ESG do?

• Helps the Group Director lead the execution of VEON?s ESG strategy. This includes a regular review of all legal and regulatory requirements in the VEON footprint, including disclosures mandated by the EU (such as CSRD) or by the US SEC. Review local OpCo disclosure requirements, if/when applicable
• Co-owns with the Group Director the preparation of VEON?s Integrated Annual report. Helps project-manage the IAR end-to-end
• Takes the lead in all activities around the soon-to-be composed ?VEON ESG forum?:
  • Setting up the agenda for the meetings
  • Own the preparation of the presentations
  • Prepare minutes of meeting and monitor the implementation of agreed action plans
• Oversees the ESG data collection process (whether for IAR purposes or other ER disclosures), ensuring that data is timely and accurate. Helps with continuous improvement on the internal control environment for ESG reporting, so to ensure consistent, accurate and timely information as well as auditable and efficient reporting processes.
• Collaborates with external partners (such as third party Advisors and Assurance providers) as the key operational liaison person between the Group and those partners.
• Engages and communicates effectively with internal & external stakeholders, including OpCo executives, sponsors, and team members. Builds strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and support.

• Act as a main POC interface between the Group ESG Forum, the six Operating Companies, the HQ functional owners and the third-party vendors to manage the ESG metrics to be published in the Group?s Integrated Annual Reports (IARs)
• Collaborates with the ESG Group Director and other key relevant external & internal stakeholders (Investor Relations, External Reporting, Legal) to ensure successful execution of all ESG / IR initiatives and tasks
