Description :Grade Level: L3Location: IslamabadFunction: Digital Financial Services (JazzCash) Last date to apply: 30th August, 2022What is Manager Data Science?JazzCash DFS is looking for a passionate Manager Data Science where they will be working closely with Technology and Business functions to lead, design and launch complex machine learning models by leveraging on various data mining techniques on both structured and unstructured data sets to support our credit scoring platform.You will be responsible for the creation of new data sciences capabilities, implementing machine-learning models, matching, and optimizing algorithms and hence driving the entire Digital Lending Ecosystem. In parallel, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to not just solve existing business problems pertaining to digital lending, but to define how additional value can be created through the utilization of data assets and analytics.You will also manage a team of data science experts and work closely with other BI/Data and Analytics teams ensuring alignment with the over-all vision and paving the way for the development of new products in the future.What does Manager Data Science do?

• Help the team identify and resolve problems while keeping in view both the product and technical aspects and contribute to building a culture that thrives on solving problems through a data driven approach.
• Encourage the team to experiment with new ideas that engage our customers, help customers grow, and let us learn.
• Partner closely with Design, Product Management, and other teams within core product and across JazzCash to identify the highest-impact opportunities to accelerate the product and user experience.
• Grow the teams capabilities through career development of the current engineers and strategic hiring.
• Comply with industry standard coding practices and other activities related to code standardization, review, documentation, integrity, and security.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Manager Data Science?

• We are seeking a skilled individual who can lead a team and shape the strategy and execute against a bold and aggressive roadmap to support rapidly scaling business operations within Digital Lending

• Masters/ Bachelors in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science (focused on ML and AI) or any other related quantitative field.
• 5-7 years? of experience in statistical modeling, applying/optimizing Machine learning models and ideally a complete understanding of the entire Machine learning life cycle right from Exploratory Data Analysis to Deploying ML models into production. (Experience in FinTech domain would be an added plus.)
• Excellent understanding and grasp of mathematical and statistical concepts especially related to credit risk modeling.
• Highly proficient and experience in scripting languages and have excellent prototyping skills such as in Java, Perl, SQL, VB etc.
• Possessing an analytical approach towards handling business problems coupled with logic and reasoning.
• Must have worked with popular Python ML/DL tools/libraries such as Scikit-Learn, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy visualization libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly.
• Theoretical as well as practical knowledge of ML algorithms: linear/logistic regression, Decision Trees and Forests, Classification Algorithms (KNN?s, SVM?s, LDA?s, Naive Bayes) and Clustering techniques.
• Knowledge of deep learning architectures such as LSTM, RNN and CNN and Transformer based models would be an added plus
• Familiarity with Big data frameworks like Apache Spark and deploying models into production would be added plus
• Experience designing and managing Analytics dashboards on Tableau, Power BI.
• Excellent understanding of databases and proficiency in SQL.
• Proficient at presenting our analysis and insights to a broad audience, which may include Project Managers and Technical Leads and Senior Executive Management.
• Communicator with the ability to present succinct and well-articulated thoughts at internal and external platforms.
• Experience in leading data science teams before where complex ML models were developed and launched
