Description :Grade Level: L4Location: Islamabad Function: Digital Financial Services (JazzCash)Last date to apply: 25th Jul, 2022What is Software Development Team?JazzCash Software Development team takes care of JazzCash in-house software development for customers and partners. Software Factory is made up of multiple teams that drive the software delivery at JazzCash. Major functions include System Analysis, Android Development, IOS Development, Middleware Development, and Software Testing.Who is Head of Software Development?Head Software Development reports directly to CTO JazzCash and ensures the quality delivery by in-house Software factory team. Individual is responsible to reduce time to market for all new JazzCash products and bring efficiencies in business and technical operations. The Head of Software Factory will set-up KPIs for the software delivery team, guide the team and ensure the delivery of software aligned with the business and technical KPIs. The individual is responsible to educate/train team members on emerging technologies and coordinating with the line managers to induct those into the mainline development.Individual has a key role in executing the strategy of JazzCash and act as a trustworthy advisor to Management in architectural decisions. Work in close collaboration with all Technology teams. Recommend any enhancements in the development and operations tools, or updates in architectural layers.Jazz is an equal opportunity employer. • 10+ experience in Enterprise and Mobile Apps Software design & development (JAVA, UI/UX, Android, iOS, and other cross-native platforms).
• Strong experience in Agile Development & DevOps practices and has delivered large-scale/ enterprise challenging projects while demonstrating end-to-end responsibility of project delivery.
• Prior experience in digital & mobile financial services or tech startup/scale-up will be preferred.
• Clear focus on new product development while capitalizing on strengths of their team?s past experiences and skillsets
• Proven skills with project management, and stakeholder management
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Application Architecture
• Experience in leading large development teams; working with multi-cultural teams and successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
• Clear understanding of Financial Planning & Budgeting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.

• Drive IT architecture towards modular, scalable one
• Build internal team and competencies where needed
• Manage quality of IT delivery across the whole value chain
• Good experience with Testing Automation

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in following development technologies/tools during their career.

• Prior Software Development experience in mobile application and web development (Android, Java, .Net, Bootstrap, jQuery)
• Mobile app development (Android Studio and Xamarin)
• Web Services & Integrations Experience (RESTful, WCF, SOAP)
• Strong concepts related to Design Patterns, SOA, and microservice architecture
• Git for source code management
• Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
• Microservices tools (Kubernetes, Dockers)
• Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus / TIBCO / WSO2
• SQL & Database Skills (Oracle and MySQL) packages, store procedures, functions
• Automated testing of mobile and web applications (Selenium)
• Load and stress testing (JMeter)
