They work in close collaboration with production, quality control, and regulatoryteams to achieve these objectives.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control measures and procedures to ensure that foodproducts meet established quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections.
  • Monitor product specifications and maintain product consistency.
  • Stay up to date with local, national, and international food safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and other relevant guidelines.
  • Conduct internal food safety audits and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of food safety audits and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and ingredients meetquality and safety requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits and inspections.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains related to food safety andquality.
  • Propose and implement improvements and best practices.
  • Provide training and education to employees on food safety practices, quality controlprocedures, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Masters in food science / Microbiology or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in food safety and quality control (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
  • Prior experience in a quality or food safety role in the food industry/retail.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency with food safety management systems and quality control tools.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
